Tortilla Bread / Wraps are thin, circular flatbreads. People commonly use them in dishes like burritos, tachos, and fajitas. You can prepare tortillas with wheat flour as well. Wheat tortillas often include leavening agents like baking powder.

Ingredients

  • All Purpose Flour - 3 cups
  • Baking Powder - 1 tbsp
  • Warm Water - 1 cup
  • Oil or Ghee - 3 tbsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients together along with the oil and ghee. Add water gradually and knead to a soft dough. Cover and keep for 30 minutes.
  2. Knead again and divide the dough in to equal size balls. Keep it aside for 15 more minutes.
  3. Roll each ball into thin sheets and cook each side for 2 minutes on medium low flame.
